Merge

Several PDFs joined end to end into one document, in the order you set: each staged file carries two controls, one that moves it a place earlier and one a place later. Every file keeps its own pages, page sizes and text — nothing is redrawn and nothing re-encoded, so the pages arrive exactly as they left. Takes up to twenty PDFs of twenty-five megabytes each, priced from their sizes and shown before you commit.

Nothing is charged for uploading, and nothing runs until you press Run. Sign in to load a file and get an estimate first.

01

Choose your PDFs, or drop them in together. The picker takes the whole set at once, and that set is the one the job runs — there is no control for adding a file afterwards, so a set you got wrong is fixed by reloading the page. Uploading processes nothing and charges nothing.

02

Set the order. Every file carries two controls: one moves it a place earlier, the other a place later, and a press swaps it with the file it passes. Nothing is typed and nothing is dragged. The list redraws in the new order after each press, so what you read down the page is the order the pages will come out in, and the estimate is shown per file and as a total before you commit.

03

Run and download. The pages come back as one PDF in the order the list showed, the files you uploaded are left exactly as they were, and a run that fails costs you nothing.

Questions

How do I put the files in the order I want?

Each file in the list carries two controls: one moves it a place earlier, the other a place later. A press swaps that file with the one it passes and the list redraws in the new order, so the order you read down the page is the order the pages come out in. Press again to keep going — a file travels as far through the list as you have presses for it, and the file that runs first offers no earlier move while the one that runs last offers no later one. Documents are never dragged here and never will be: a row you could drag a page into means drawing the document on screen first, and this site will not render your file before you have agreed a price for it.

Can I add or remove a file after I have chosen?

No. The set you upload is the set the job runs. One picker action takes as many files as you like and one drag drops as many as you like, but once they are staged the picker is no longer on the page, so there is no way to add a file you forgot or drop one you did not mean to pick. Reload the page and choose again. Nothing is charged for the upload you are abandoning, and it is deleted twenty-four hours later like every other upload. Having to start over for one wrong file is a genuine gap rather than a rule, and it is on the list to close.

What does it cost?

Each file is priced from its own size and those prices are added together, so the total is what the same files would have cost one at a time. That is about one and a third credits per megabyte plus a small flat amount per file, with a one-credit minimum on each file: a two megabyte PDF costs three credits, the largest file this tool takes costs thirty-four, and anything below roughly six hundred kilobytes costs one. So twenty small files cost twenty credits rather than the two or three their bytes alone suggest, because the minimum applies per file rather than per run. The total for the whole set is shown before anything runs, and a run that fails costs you nothing.

Are bookmarks kept?

No, and this is the one thing a merge here loses. A PDF's outline points at its pages by internal reference, and joining documents rebuilds exactly those references, so an outline carried across would point into a structure that no longer has that shape. Rather than hand you bookmarks that jump to the wrong page, the merged file is written without them. The same goes for the rest of what a document states about itself as a whole: page labels, the definition tying interactive form fields together, and the view it opens at. What is drawn on the pages comes across untouched.

Do the pages change size?

No. Each page keeps the size and rotation it had in the file it came from, including when that file stated the size once for the whole document rather than page by page — a page that inherited its size is given that size outright before it moves. An A4 file merged with a Letter file therefore comes back as a document of two page sizes, which is what it is, rather than one file's size silently applied to the other's pages. Nothing is rasterised or re-encoded either, so text stays selectable and vector artwork stays sharp at every zoom.

What happens to my files?

Inputs are deleted twenty-four hours after upload and results after thirty days. Deletion means the object is removed from storage, not hidden from your history. The files you sent are left exactly as they were — every tool here writes a new file rather than changing the one you uploaded.
