Compress

Smaller image files at a quality you choose, with the before and after sizes shown so you can see exactly what the setting cost you. Works on JPG, PNG and WebP up to 25 megabytes, one file per run. Cost is estimated before anything runs, based on the size of the file you send, so you approve the number first and nothing is charged for uploading.

compress-image

Nothing is charged for uploading, and nothing runs until you press Run. Sign in to load a file and get an estimate first.

01

Drop one image in, or choose it from disk. Uploading processes nothing and charges nothing — the file is read only far enough to size it.

02

Pick a quality level: smaller file, balanced, or best quality. The price does not move with it — the estimate is fixed before you choose — so the only thing the setting decides is how small the file comes back and how it looks at that size.

03

Run and download. The compressed file is yours for thirty days, and a run that fails costs you nothing.

Questions

How much smaller will my files get?

It depends on the source. A photo straight from a phone camera usually drops by sixty to eighty percent at quality 80 with no visible difference at normal viewing size. A screenshot or a flat graphic that is already a PNG may barely move, because those compress well before they reach us. The before and after sizes are shown for the file you just ran, not folded into an average across other runs, so you see exactly what this one got you.

Will it change how my image looks?

At the default quality, not in a way you will notice on screen. Compression is lossy, so pixels are genuinely discarded, and pushing quality low enough will show it first in gradients and around hard edges. Dimensions are never changed — a compressed image has exactly the pixel count it started with.

What does it cost?

About one and a third credits per megabyte of the file you send, plus a small flat amount per file. A typical four-megapixel photo around three megabytes costs five credits; a twenty-four megapixel original around twelve megabytes costs seventeen. Every run is priced the same way, whether it is your first of the day or your hundredth — the number follows the bytes you send and nothing else. Cheaper rates live in the credit packs.

Do I need an account?

To run a job, yes. Reading this page does not require one. Signing in is one tap with Google, Apple or GitHub — no password and no email confirmation step — and the files you already uploaded are still there when you come back.

What happens to my files?

Inputs are deleted twenty-four hours after upload and results after thirty days. Deletion means the object is removed from storage, not hidden from your history. Files uploaded before you sign in are unreachable by anyone else and are swept within the hour.
